MY COACHING STORY
Greetings! I am so honored you are here!

My name is Dympna Lynch Weil. I am a human, a doctor, wife, mother, daughter, friend, creator, connector, writer,
Master Coach & Irish dancer.

Yup, like in Riverdance ; )

In fact, I'm a certified Irish dance teacher...
though I'm not currently teaching. Or dancing : ( For now.
More on that in a moment.

I am an Obstetrician-Gynecologist with a long standing interest in physician wellness, most recently in clinical practice as an OBGYN Hospitalist, with experience in academics teaching students & residents and in private practice as well.

2020 needs no introduction.

In the Fall of 2020, six months into the pandemic, I started experiencing a constellation of symptoms that forced me into stillness - unable to discern movement from rest reliably. I could no longer trust my body and rely on my senses. It took over nine months (that time frame is not lost on me as an OB) to receive a diagnosis of vestibular migraine and PPPD (Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness). During this time I became a patient and physically unable to care for others, I began to learn to care for myself.
In the stillness, I found an opportunity to reconnect with myself and began to cultivate self-compassion and kindness. I also started to dissolve thoughts that had caused me years of suffering, learned to listen to the wisdom of my body, and I slowed down without succumbing to self-criticism.
I deepened my own healing and self-care while training and certifying as a Martha Beck Life Coach with the intention of maintaining my own joy despite life’s changes and challenges... AND part of my mission and fulfillment is now serving others, especially my colleagues in medicine by sharing the power of coaching tools with other high achieving, self-flagellating, professional-multitasking people (know anyone?).

LOVE THE ORDINARY
AND
WELCOME THE EXTRAORDINARY
Experienced & Inspired
As physicians, we inherently treat others
with kindness and compassion.
We are trained and further conditioned to do so.
But often, we forget - or worse - never learn
how to show ourselves compassion and kindness.

Sound familiar?
And our medical training omitted this essential lesson.
I am a physician coach who has experienced
the power of coaching first hand.
Recognizing how this modality would have served me
in past chapters of my life,
I have chosen to share my empathic skills
and the gift of coaching with others.

The essence of my work is to
honor our common humanity,
lead with love,
and coach others as they set out
to reconnect with themselves and tell their story.
I help my clients get out of their heads
and into their hearts.

I invite them to love the ordinary,
welcome the extraordinary
and to embrace their unique opportunity to
profoundly impact this world
in whatever ways they choose.
